Welcome,
Thank you for finding your way here.
We don’t consider you a passive viewer
We welcome you as the thirteenth
participant in this collective.
The circle is the Shaman.

What you’re about to witness really happened – and it changed us all.
And so, to watch MAY DAY is to take a microdose of the experience itself, a messy, beautiful descent into the unknown.
Stay with it – I assure you, all of us involved had our what the fuck moments.
That’s part of the ride.
All we ask is that you meet what arises with curiosity and kindness.
Safe trip!
Mai & Jerry
Synopsis
In a world growing more disconnected by the day, French director Mai Hua and her husband, English therapist Jerry Hyde, invite 12 strangers from wildly different walks of life on a 14-day therapeutic retreat.
Withdrawn from the world in an ancient forest, without electricity or social media, the participants work on their dark sides to discover part of their truth. The power of the collective transforms them, with all its magic, but also its share of difficulties that they learn to overcome.

Book Bonus
May Day is a true labor of love and passion. It took four years of our lives – a lot more than expected. Part self-funded, part crowdfunded by our extraordinary community, you’ll see, the film is beautiful.
MAY DAY is set at 2 level of prices (rental at 10€ – purchase at €14) to touch an audience as wide as possible. And as a thank you to everyone who chooses to purchase, we’re offering MAY DAY – MAI’S JOURNEY, a beautiful 80-page e-book that tells the behind-the-scenes story of this completely mad adventure.
If for any reason you simply cannot afford even €10, just email me at supertimai@gmail.com and I’ll send you a free link.

In 2021 We have released our first film collaboration : MAKE ME A MAN. Described as “Powerful and poetic” by Le Monde in a half page article, the film is an exploration of Hyde’s men’s groups and the global struggles around patriarchal masculinity.

Bundle
To discover or introduce others to our filmography, we’ve created a bundle that includes our three films, Les Rivières + Make Me a Man + May Day, and all their bonus features. Worth €39, we’re offering it for just €20.

How to help?
Gift our films or the bundle to someone you love! It’s a way to support our work, and it’s also a wonderful gift to introduce a beloved one to our world, and spark deep, potentially unforgettable conversations.
Circles are shamans. If you would like to view it with a larger audience (more than 10 people), for your business, your local community, or your own talking circles, contact Mai supertimai@gmail.com. If you would like supervision to open your talking circles, contact Jerry jerryhyde@mac.com
The projoection is the shaman :
“What can we do with our pain?” “How can we make peace? Transform ourselves? Create a collective?” When we share MAY DAY, many of you say, “I want more, let’s keep moving forward.” We’ve therefore created a long and intimate space, hosted by Mai herself, where you can ask questions or simply connect with the audience. For three hours, you’ll be able to fully experience MAY DAY, in extraordinary viewing and listening conditions, but also in a space intimate enough to co-create an evening on a human scale.

Cinéma
MAY DAY remains, above all, an experiential work of art. We love the collective adventure of finding ourselves together in a dark room with strangers, so go see the film in a theater.
